Do I make six figures? The short answer is: No, not yet. Notice how I said "not yet". That's because one of the main things you need to do if you want to make a full-time income promoting Clickbank products is to always think positive and have an optimistic outlook.
I know, I know. It sounds corny. But it's so true. It's not enough just to think you are going to succeed. You have to know it.
In this article I'm going to give you a strategy that you can use to start promoting products right away, and it will cost you less than $5 to get started. Whether or not you'll make money, however , is going to depend solely on how much effort you're willing to put into it.
One of the biggest obstacles that new affiliate marketers face is the lack of investment capital. Meaning, they want to make lots of money online, but they don't have any to invest in their business upfront.
Normally, this would dash any hopes one would have at starting a profitable business. But on the internet, it's not going to be a problem. You don't need to invest any money to start making commissions as an affilaite marketer.
Don't get me wrong. Those that have $200 or $300 to spend on things like web hosting, website design, autoresponders, and advertising are going to have an easier go of things, but that doesn't mean they are going to be more successful in the long run.
Here's a simple strategy that I want to share with you right now. As soon as you finish reading this article, you can use it to start making money as an affiliate marketer. It's going to cost you less than $5 to get up and running.
1 . The first thing you are going to do is visit the Clickbank Marketplace and find a product to promote (assuming you have a free affiliate account already). Pay attention to the next few lines, as they are important. When looking for a product to promote, take these factors into consideration:
A. Pick a subject that you are interested in and knowledgeable about.
B. Make sure there is a market for the product (Does it solve a problem? ).
C. Make sure it pays a commission of $20 or more for each sale.
2 . The next thing you are going to do is buy a domain name. Now, don't get nervous, you don't need web hosting-just a domain name. My advice would be to go to one of two places to do this. Get your domain name at GoDaddy or NameCheap. You need to get yourself a ". info" domain name. You can buy and register one for less than $2 per year at either site. Register your domain for a year. You won't need it for longer than that.
Important: Try to pick a domain name that reflects the product you are promoting. For example , if you are promoting a fishing product, don't pick a domain name with the words "dog training" in it. Get the picture?
3. Lastly, you are going to set up a redirect. This isn't as confusing as it sounds. All you are doing when you redirect a domain is setting up the domain you purchased to send visitors to your affiliate link. You are going to take and redirect your new domain name to your Clickbank hoplink.
There are many places online to help you with this, but you should be able to figure it out for yourself. It's usually done right from the control panel on the site that you purchased it from. If you do get confused, go to YouTube and do a search for "how to redirect a domain". There are many tutorials available. It usually takes about 30-60 minutes to take effect, and then you will be good to go.
Once you have completed the 3 above steps, all you have to do is promote your domain. Since it is going to redirect to your Clickbank hoplink, all you need to do is put your new domain name anywhere you would normally put your affiliate link.
This is especially handy to use in forums. Join several forums related to the product you are promoting, and use your new link in your signature. Most forums don't allow hoplinks in the signature, but they have no problems with top level domains, which is what you now have.
